Climate Control Glass

We supply a wide selection of glass products that provide a comfortable environment for occupants by keeping buildings cool in the summer (solar control) and warm in the winter (thermal insulation):

Pilkington glass

Solar Control

  • Tinted glass: SuncoolTM, Suncool T TM, Optifloat TM Tinted, StopsolTM, Arctic BlueTM

Heat Insulation

Windows glazed using Low-Emissivity glass significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions, by allowing energy from the sun into a building without letting internally generated heat escape.

Low Emissivity (Low-e) glass usually forms the inner pane of a double glazing unit, and allows less heat to escape through windows than ordinary glass. The special 'low-e' energy saving coating lets the sun's rays through, but reflects heat from fires and radiators back into the home. Heat which ordinary double glazing allows to escape.

  • Low E Hard Coated products including K GlassTM and Planibel G®
  • Low E Soft Coated products including Planibel Top N®, Planibel Top NT® and OptithermTM SN

Pilkington have recently confirmed that their hard coat low-e and soft-coat low-e are likely to place any given window in the same Window Energy Rating category.

Solar Control & Heat Insulation

  • Glaverbel Sunergy ®

Self Cleaning

  • Self Cleaning Glass e.g. Pilkington ActivTM

Noise Control

  • Pilkington OptilamTM Phon, Glaverbel StratophoneTM
