EversealT Warm Edge IG

Everseal TPS Robot in Action

Thermo Plastic Spacer (TPS), manufactured by Kommerling, is the enhanced form of warm edge technology which provides a combination of the butyl-based formulation and the unique all around, homogeneous seal which significantly reduces the heat transfer coefficient value of the window. This results in a higher performing insulating unit - the essential factor in an effective glazing solution for today’s commercial buildings.

The butyl-based formulation in TPS with integrated desiccant and inhibitors is an extremely effective gas and moisture barrier in itself. Unlike conventional desiccant-filled metallic spacers, the thermo plastic spacer is applied directly onto the glass - thus reducing gas loss and promoting heat retention.

The unique all around homogeneous seal maximises gas retention– with impressive results:

  • Improved heat insulation at the edge zone
  • Even temperature distribution on the glass surface
  • Reduced heat transfer coefficient of up to 12% compared with a conventional edge seal with aluminium spacer bar
  • Reduced condensation
  • Constant room climate
  • Substantial energy and cost savings

TPS - A true insulating spacer that is not heat conducting to yield improved U values, energy / cost savings and lower environmental emissions.
